WHAT'S NEW IN BLACKBOARD 9.1.13:

Retention Center - The Retention Center is an instructor-only tool that enables instructors to give focused attention to students who need it. It replaces the Early Warning System feature with easy workflows, while retaining all existing Early Warning System data and rules. Read More!

Discussions - The Discussion Board user interface has been updated in two primary ways: the thread detail page has been thoroughly redesigned while maintaining all of its current functionality and instructors can now require students to first post to a forum before they can see other students’ posts. Test Availability Exceptions - Test availability exceptions is a set of new settings on the Test Options page, available only after the Test is added to a content area. Instructors can select one or more groups of students and make a number of exceptions to the already established availability settings. Exceptions can be used to provide an accommodation to a student with disabilities, or provide accommodations for technology and language differences. Read More!

Instructors can verify student activity or lack of activity during a test using the new Access Log. The Access Log is available from the Attempts page of a test and provides detailed information on student's test attempt interactions. Read More!

 

BLACKBOARD MOBILE APP GUIDES:

SBCCD does not have an institutional license for Blackboard Mobile Learn.  So, you need to purchase a Personal License to the Blackboard Mobile Learn App ($1.99 for lifetime access) to access Blackboard through the app.  Only iOs and Android devices are supported through the personal license.
