How we use twitter
We use twitter to send out notifications on maintenance periods and unexpected outages. However, not everything is suitable for students. Some internal systems won't affect students at all, so we are seperating our notifications between staff and students.
The @TessStaffInfo account will contain all our notifications of both internal and external systems. It is most suitable for staff and faculty. It will include all notifications on the student account below, as well as notifications for internal systems accessable only by staff and faculty, such as our internal mail server and databases.
The @TessStudentInfo accoutn will contain all our notifications of external systems. It is most suitable for students and the public. This includes WebAdvisor, Google Mail, and Blackboard.
