EDUCATION 

Copyright and Fair Use in a Digital World 

Delivery: Campus 1 hr. 

Learn about the legal, social, and ethical issues to consider when delivering content online including recent changes to the copyright law and fair use of digital content; student privacy; accessibility; and alternate resources for media content. 

Teaching Strategies & Technology in a Flipped Classroom 

Delivery: Campus1 hr. 

Learn about effective teaching strategies for a flipped classroom, including information about campus and external resources to develop original content that you can share with your students 

Teaching and Learning in a Mobile Environment 

Delivery: Campus 1 hr. 

Learn about mobile applications instructors can use as part of their teaching and learning strategy.  We will look at Bb Mobile Learn, Bb Grader, and Office 365 mobile applications. 

Making Digital Content Accessible 

Delivery: Campus1.5 hr. 

Don’t be intimated by the process of creating ADA compliant material.  Bring a document and learn how easy it is to create an accessible word and PDF file.  We’ll look at how to use Word Styles. Also learn how to use Camtasia Relay and Office Mix to record your desktop and voice to create an accessible video you can share with your learner. 

Instructional Design Effective Practices  

Delivery: Campus1.5 hr. 

Learn and discuss adult learning theory and how to translate the theory into practice for designing your course and material. 

Transitioning to Technology-enhanced teaching 

Delivery: Campus1 hr. 

Interested in using more technology as part of your teaching strategy but don’t know where to begin?  This workshop is a discussion of the process and planning to include technology in your classroom.  We will share effective practices and examine presentation, organizational, communication, and collaboration technology tools that help to enhance teaching and learning.

Blackboard Snapshot 101: Getting Ready for the Semester 

Delivery: Campus2 hr. 

Learn how to get your blackboard course shell ready for the semester, including copying course content from previous semesters, making your course available, and adding simple content to your course.  This workshop is focused on faculty who have little to no experience using the Blackboard LMS 

BlackboardSnapshot 201: Intermediate Bb Users 

Delivery: Campus2 hr. 

Learn about some advanced features and tools available in Blackboard, including communication, assessment, and reporting tools.  This workshop is focused on faculty who have prior experience using Blackboard for managing their courses. 

Snapshot: Blackboard – Assessment Tools 

Delivery: Campus2 hr. 

Learn how to create and deploy assignments and tests/ in Blackboard as well as review test analytics. Learn how to use Blackboard’s interactive rubrics feature that will help you evaluate student work consistently and objectively. 

Snapshot: Blackboard – Grade Center

Learn how to manage your Blackboard Grade Center, including creating and managing items, weighing graded items, and downloading your gradebook 

Turnintin Complete: OriginalityCheck, Grademark, and PeerMark 

Delivery: Campus 2 hr. 

The workshop will give you an overview of Turnitin’s interface, assignment deployment and submission through Blackboard and website, including interpreting the Originality Report, and using Quickmarks 

 

EXTENDING THE WORKPLACE WITH TECHNOLOGY 

Using Skype, CCC Confer & 3C Media 

Delivery: Campus 1.5 hr. 

Looking for a way to meet online? Skype or CCC Confer lets you collaborate virtually through the web or desktop application. In this workshop, you will learn how to schedule, conduct, and record an online webinar or meeting using Skype or CCC Confer.  Learn how to use 3C Media to share your CCC Confer recordings. 

Introduction to Office 365 

Delivery: Campus 1 hr. 

Microsoft Office 365 allows you to create an online office with Office Web Apps and cloud-based versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Learn how to access your online 365 account and quick tips to creating and sharing documents.  Improve your productivity! 

 

PROJECT-BASED LEARNING 

PowerPoint 

Delivery: Campus 2 separate 1 hour sessions 

In the first session learn about creating better and more effective PowerPoint presentations. In the second session show what you have learned using your new and improved PowerPoint presentations. 

 

WordPress 

Delivery: Campus 2 separate 1 hour sessions 

In the first session find out about WordPress and it features. In the second session show what you have learned by creating your own WordPress site.
